Today a place of social and industrial memory, the Alès Witness Mine offers a discovery or rediscovery of the mine, its people and its history.
At the foot of the headframe opens the cage, which invites you to dive into the impressive world of the blackmouths. Narrated from start to finish, the 700 meters of galleries present a striking retrospective of coal mining history from 1880 to the present day.
