It is in the heart of the Borgne Valley, in the old village mill that the Maison de l'eau naturally found its place. Around this witness to the past, a modern and fun exhibition presents water in the Cévennes. Wandering through seven rooms, the visitor is invited to discover the vagaries of the Mediterranean climate, the specificities of the Cévennes natural environments, the old mill and its horizontal wheels, local words and legends about water.
A magical book will tell you the long history of economical water management in the Cévennes and will lead to reflection on the importance of water and the urgency of preserving its quality. Mr. Beaver, the mascot, invites young and old to a more unusual visit combining questions, games, experiences...
An interpretation trail is accessible and completes the visit with a presentation of certain tree species native to the Cévennes. The water house also offers activities for the general public and schools.
